About Sarah Claridge
Sarah divides her time equally between learning & development and coaching, this being a natural pathway progressively influenced by her career to date.
In 2012 Sarah was 1 of 6 Featured Coaches in Golf World’s 100 Best Tips by Britain’s Top 100 Teachers which was closely followed by her being awarded ‘PGA Fellow’ by the British PGA that year.
Since 2009 and presently Sarah has worked as a Golf Development Officer for the R&A and the PGA of Europe, coaching teams, providing coach education and programme structure to golf developing countries worldwide, she has worked with the Latvian Golf Federation and Barbados Golf Association to date.
In 2005 Sarah become a Swing Tutor and Mentor for the PGA and for the past 5 years Sarah has been a lecturer on the British PGA’s foundation degree programme and CPD training programme specialising in ‘The business of coaching’. Sarah also now works with many PGA Professionals on a one-to-one basis Europe wide to help them take their business forward and increase revenue.
Sarah served her apprenticeship at Cotswold Edge Golf Club in Gloucestershire and once qualified became the Head Teaching Professional at the Kendleshire Golf Club in Bristol. Sarah ran a very successful freelance coaching business organising one-to-one and group coaching programmes, holidays and golf schools. She then went on to become a Development Coach for the English Women’s Golf Association (10 years) helping to develop young player’s games to represent England’s U16 and U18 squads. In 2005 Sarah’s organisational skills and knowledge of the game led her to the role of Director and designer of Smartpro Coaching Ltd, an online resource platform for coaches and their players.
Sarah is a ‘game changer’! ‘My key objective is that my passion for sport and business combine subtly to make my clients journey a fun and rewarding experience helping them achieve their aspirations whatever they may be’.
